Paring the Prices of Vinyl Windows
You have already saved a significant amount by choosing vinyl instead of wood windows, but there is no reason to stop here. There are still many choices you can make that may save you additional money. Yes, you get what you pay for, but you want to make sure you don't pay more for what you don't want or need. Most windows come with lots of options. The less you order, the lower your cost will be. If you don't live in a cold climate, don't pay for cold weather glazings. If you don't mind dusting your blinds (or dust on your blinds), don't pay to have blinds built into the space between your windowpanes. Is the sunshine through your windows so intense that it will really affect the colors of your furniture? Window sellers may make it sound like everyone wants solar protection applied to their house windows, but it's not necessarily a factor in your bathrooms or bedrooms or, depending on your solar exposure and altitude, even in your living room. Don't pay for treatments and options you don't really need! In short, before you agree to any option suggested by a salesperson, think it over and consider the particular requirements of every window for each room. They will differ. If you do this, you should be able to pare a sizeable amount off the prices of your new vinyl windows.
